Paid to Click (PTC) - Scammer: highclix.com tries to enforce selling memberships

by Rudolf Faix 16. November 2015 04:38

Screenshot highclix.comHow important it is to make a background check and to read the FAQ's and terms & conditions from an Internet offer gets shown on the example from highclix.com. The domain is actual 81 days old, has no registration data - it seems that even a privacy protection service is too expensive for the domain owner, the site is hosted in Netherlands, a reply to a support request got sent from a mailserver in Germany and the only data found in the domain registration data is a phone number from Mali - West Africa - a well known high risk country in Internet business. In the historical whois records we find the last email of the domain owner from November 15, 2015 as highclix@yandex.com - a free email provider from Russia. A domain registrar from Saudi Arabia would not really be a problem if the admin address would not be an address from India and if in Google would not get found already more than 500 complaints about this registrar. With other words the domain owner tries to hide his identity as good as possible. Such a site is in 99.99% nothing else than the site of a scammer! A serious company is proud about her name and will use her name in each possibility for promotion and a serious companies are showing by that way that they have nothing to hide.

At their FAQ page is written:

Free Members earn money for each of their own click and for each of their referral's clicks. We also offer upgraded memberships that allows you to earn even more and cashout your earnings.

I understood this phrase that a free membership has no sense because free members are not getting paid. For this reason I decided to write a support request that my opinion gets confirmed or a misunderstanding gets explained. Yesterday I got the following unbelievable answer:

Re: FAQ Page

Hello Rudolf, we are business with great prospective and so only members starting from 1lvl premium and higher can request payout, but don't worry, you don't need to invest your money to upgrade, you can upgrade from your purchase balance. And to be hones, with earnings that we provide our members its really not that hard to collect upgrade amount really fast. Just keep on clicking ads, renting referrals and you will be able to upgrade really soon from your own earnings.

Admin
Support HighClix

Here a screenshot of the email I received from the admin as an answer to my support request:

Screenshot in answer to my support request

The answer has confirmed my opinion that free members will not get paid. Payment proofs at their own site are even not worth to view it and you don't have any possibility to check their offer and their payments by yourself. My opinion is that it would be even a waste of time to check them out. Their online reputation is already more than worse and everybody which buys a membership from them should go to a madhouse instead of crying afterwards about got scammed.

A similar result get found at Scamadvisor. Scamadiser reports about highclix.com:

Fraud & Scam

The Truth about Paid to Click (PTC) by the example of buxvertise.com

by Rudolf Faix 15. November 2015 12:24

Screenshot buxvertise.combuxvertise.com tries to impress with "Earn Extra Cash Online" promotion their users. They have written by themselves at their start page that they have paid in total $428,037.70 to their 244,469 members. That is in average around $1.7509 (one dollar and seventyfive cents) for each member since they started at April 17, 2014 - 19 month ago. One dollar seventyfive cents is very impressing for their members in a time range of 19 months. The most people are giving a higher tip to a waiter as buxvertise.com calls an "Earn Extra"! Maybe they are shaming themselves for this low payout and are hiding for this reason their domain ownership by a privacy protection service.

If we take a look at their membership site then we see that the maximum earning per day is $0.0121. In their FAQ's they are declaring that the minimum payout is $7. If we divide the $7 by a daily earning of $0.121 then we see that you maybe get a cash-out after 579 days. These facts are they calling "The only Paid-to-Click Service you'll ever need". I think they have in their slogan a type mismatch. They have forgotten the letter "N" in front of the word "ever"!

Here the screenshots from the member area of buxvertise.com:

Screenshot buxvertise.com member area - Fixed Advertisements part 1

Screenshot buxvertise.com member area - Fixed Advertisements part 2

Screenshot buxvertise.com member area - Buxvertise Ads

Worse is it coming if you are looking at the mebership upgrade table. Let us calculate that you earn $0.0121 per day as a "free member" * 365 days then you are earning $4.4165 per year. If you pay a membership fee for the "Buxer" of $55/year (yearly payment) you'll earn 150% of the free member - also nearly $6.6248 (six dollars) and make a loss of more than $48.75 per year. Worse is it with the membership fee for the "Eternity" member, which is $380/year (yearly payment) and pays only double of the "free member" - in this case you lose $371,17 per year ($380 membership fee - $4.4165 * 2 = $371.167). I call such offers simple SCAM because you cannot find so many referrals that you can come into winnings, because even the direct referrals are limited and nobody will visit the site daily for a maximum earning of $0.0242 ("Eternity" mamber for the case that you can find someone which is so stupid to work and to pay for getting nothing in return).

Suspicious Sites

The Truth about PTC (Paid To Click) by the example of wordlinx.com

by Rudolf Faix 13. November 2015 03:28

Nobody owns a money printing machine and it is good that money only can get issued by the government. Otherwise the money would not have any value. Another fact is that not one company or service can spend more money than their own earnings are. For this reason are all the unbelievable offers in the social networks about the earing possibilities nothing else than dreams and scams.

An old PTC provider is worldlinx.com. The site is active since September 2003 - already more than 12 years. This alone does not make them trustful. There are a lot of old sites available which have turned during the time to scam sites. The daily earning possibilities for free members are very limited. They are even about $0.0015/day lower than on the site ultimateclix(x).com, but you need to click only on two advertisements:

Screenshot of the PTC page from wordlinx.com

The scam or misleading promotion gets found at their FAQ page - under point 1, where is written:

Screenshot from wordlinx.com FAQ page

If we take from the screenshot above the statements:

1. How does WordLinx work?
Advertisers pay members to visit their websites for a minimum amount of time. Members are paid up to $0.05 USD per view.....

and

2. Can I earn from referring new members?
Yes, you will also earn up to 20% of referral earnings when they click adverts ....

For the case a member gets really shown an advertisement, which let him earn $0.05 his referral gets additional 20% ($0.01). I like to ignore the fact that the referral earnings are going five level down. In this case the earnings for one advertisement is a maximum of $0.06. This data we need now to compare the data provided at their sales page:

We need now to calculate the offers from their sales page to the price per impression. The result gets shown in the following table:

ViewsUS$$/View
1,000 18 0.0180
2,000 31 0.0155
5,000 70 0.0140
10,000 135 0.0135

As wordlinx.com is selling advertisements for the price between $0.0135 and $0.0180 per view. How they will be able to pay up to $0.06 (only one referral level included) per view? The offer in the FAQ page or "up to $0.05 per view" without any referral is already 3 times more than they are earning from their customers. For this reason is their offer for the paid membership nothing else than a Ponzi scheme and the selling of advertisements the camouflage of the Ponzi scheme. Another possibility is that their offering is a misleading promotion! Both cases are illegal.

As Rogue Media Ltd. is a registered company in UK we'll find a balance sheet from Rogue Media Ltd. at the UK company house. The digits are very impressing at the last annual return: 2013 Rogue Media made a profit of £3 and in the year 2014 a loss of £4,335. The company has a capital of £1.

For all these reasons Richard Sturdy with his company Rogue Media Ltd., the owner from wordlinx.com, cannot get called to be trusted business partners.

My recommendation to the promotions done at the Internet is very simple: Don't let yourself get impressed from the earning statements. Not one company can payout more than they are earning. If you don't like to get scammed then you need to analyze the offer with an open mind and prove everything behind of it - even if the company can make profit with it. A long up-time of a site is no guarantee that the site is legit.

Suspicious Sites

The Truth about Paid to Click (PTC) by the example of ultimateclix.com and ultimateclixx.com

by Rudolf Faix 12. November 2015 07:42

We'll find already the first lie of ultimateclix.com in the caption of their homepage, where is written "No Limits for your earnings". As scammers are even too lazy to think gets the lie found already in the caption from the page ultimateclix.com and ultimateclixx.com. There is written "SINCE FEBRUARY 2014 ... WE HAVE PAID $271 060.46 TO OUR 163 161 REGISTERED MEMBERS". While $271,060.46 seems to be an impressing sum, we need to take a detailed look at it. The sum of $271,060.45 got paid to 163,161 registered members and $271,060.45 divided by 163,161 results in an average payment of $1.6613 (one dollar and 66 cents) for each member for the time of 21 months. That means each member earned the impressing sum of around $0.0791 (nearly eight cents) each month! This proves that the scammers are even too lazy to use their own brain during setting up their own website.

Screenshot of ultimateclix.com including lies and error message

That scammers are lazy gets shown on the error message in the above screenshot. In this case they have been too lazy to test their program and removing the errors. If they would have made the program not quick and dirty, the error message "Warning: Illegal string offset 'active' in /home/ultimateclixx/public_html/Sources/ads_new.php on line 0". like in the screenshot above, would not appear. PHP scripts are running at the server site and have nothing to do with the kind of the browser.

The next lie gets found in their membership table:

Screenshot of the ultimateclix.com memberships

In the above screenshot we find offers like in every other PTC (Paid To Click) site with $0.005 and $0.01 advertisements for free members. In reality is this not really valid because the "View Advertisments" page shows other values:

Screenshot ultimateclix.com - fixed advertisements

The above screenshot shows that you'll get only for the first three advertisements $0.001 and the other eleven are getting with the half or less. The tariff of the others is even not listed in the membership table. Worse is it with the ultimatexlixx ads shown in the next screenshot - there you are earning only $0.001 instead of $0.01, which is 1/10 of the promised payment of the membership table - what confirms already the scam:

Screenshot ultimateclix.com - ultimateclixx ads

Everybody is guilty by himself if he is clicking on the "Nano Ads" and the "Sponsor Ads". They are even not worth to read the offer because od their payment values from $0.00001 (= $1.0E-5 in the Sponsor Ads) until $0.00025. Think how many ads you need to click until you'll get one cent for them! You'll pay more for the electricity than you are earning for the advertisements.

The "Extra ways to earn more" are nothing else than a lottery game or free trials where you have to provide some payment processors or credit cards:

Other PTC (Paid To Click) sites are offering around $0.05 earnings per day. If you are adding all together then you'll see that ultimateclix.com is offering only $0.0125 per day. Think about it before signing up, how long you need to daily visit the site until you'll reach the $4/$5 minimum payout. For the minimum payout of $5 you'll need to work 400 days until you'll get a payment!!! As the promised payout for paid members is only the double value from the free membership you can be sure, that you have to work at least more than 200 days for them get your membership fee back! For this reason only stupid people are paying a membership fee for any Paid To Click (PTC) site!!!

As the following screenshot is showing should have users from PTC (Paid To Click) sites a good protection for their browser. Paid to Click provider are offering advertisements without checking them for some viruses and malware. The error message "This site uses a plugin () that is unsupported" shows a code, which shall get executed at the users computer. I did not make any research if this error message is coming from ultimateclix.com or from their client.

Summary: Don't trust any promotion done somewhere. Use your own brain and make your own decision if you don't like to support a scammer. You'll see it on the example of ultimateclix.com that the cheapest membership fee is $30/year and you can earn in the best case $1 during this time. Rememeber the average payment for each member since "February 2014" is $1.66 for all the 21 months until now! Only stupid people are paying $30 for a work which pays only around $1 during the same time!

Don't forget that business people, which are lying already in their promotion ("free membership"), are lying more for money. The "Free Membership" is normally the promotion for the paid membership. With other words shows the site already their true face in the "Free Membership", so I really don't like to know what will happen if I sign up for a paid membership!!!

Scammer: Gerardas Norkus - paid-to-read-email.com

by Rudolf Faix 9. November 2015 12:01

It seems that the scammer Gerardas Norkus is running with his domain paid-to-read-email.com a lead generation system for other scam and malware sites. The scam gets already found at the faq's of the website paid-to-read-email.com. In these FAQ and his terms and conditions he thinks that he can stand over the law of the European Union. The site paid-to-read-email.com is registered in Lithuania and Lithuania is a member of the European Union. For this the scammer Gerardas Norkus has to respect the ecommerce law and the consumer protection law of the European Union. Maybe the scammer thinks that Lithuania still belongs to the formerly USSR. It would be time for him to wake up from this dream.

The scam from Gerardas Norkus on the site paid-to-read-email.com can get easily identified. He declares in the FAQ that the minimum payout is $15. You'll get for each email you'll read between $0.01 and $0.05. The scam gets found in that what he calls "garanteed paid emails (GPE)". That are only 100, which have in sum a value of $1. Together with the $3 sign-up bonus and the paid emails you'll reach only a maximum value of $4, which is far under the minimum payout of $15. You can increase your GPE factor by completing some surveys or offers. The problem is only that there are no offers on the site and the survey links are leading to scam, phishing, virus and malware sites. As it is a requirement in his offer to complete such surveys is he in front of law liable for the content of the sites including the scam, phishing, viruses and malware! This responsibility cannot get excluded by writing some statements on a website because it is a part of his business.

Here are the FAQ of the page paid-to-read-email.com. If you read them with an open mind then you'll get it that you get guaranteed NOT PAID

What is Paid To Read Email®?
Paid To Read Email® is an online rewards community where you can earn money for reading emails, taking surveys, completing offers, referring friends and more! You can also choose to earn points that are redeemable for gift cards, guaranteed™ paid emails (GPE) and more.

Here gets already the first part of the scam found. You have to buy the "guaranteed paid emails" with your work. With other words you are paying with your workforce the scam.

How does Paid To Read Email® pay me to read email?
Paid To Read Email® will pay you $0.01 - $0.05 for every paid email that you confirm. Simply follow the instructions in the paid email you receive, and your account will be credited! Note that you won't be credited for reading paid emails if your guaranteed™ paid emails (GPE) are expired.

In this case the scammer Gerardas Norkus likes to burden his duties to the consumer. The problem is only that this is against the consumer protection law of the European Union. As soon as the the customer of his site - it does not make any difference if the offer is free of charge or not - does a job, in this case reading of an email as offered, the customer has to get paid.

How and when will I be paid?
Member commissions shall be paid by PayPal. Payments are processed within three (3) business days upon request, however your first time payment is processed on a net-15 basis. This means that your first payment will be processed 15 days from the end of the month in which you requested payment. This waiting period is necessary in order to prevent online fraud. Member commissions must exceed $15 in order to receive payment. Commissions earned during any month less than $15 will be carried over into the following month.

In the above statement the stupid scammer Gerardas Norkus does not know that he has to pay by law in any case as soon as the consumer has seen the counter. A printout of the page where the amount is written is enough evidence for the law court.

You are able to calculate how long it will take until you get a payout by the fact, that I have gotten exactly 0 (zero) paid emails within 24 hours after signing up for the service. The scammer hopes that the people will take the trap with his malware sites if they are not able to earn something.

Why was I not credited for reading paid emails?
You won't get credited for confirming paid emails if your guaranteed™ paid emails (GPE) are expired. You can see your current GPE amount when you login to your account and go to Earnings page. You can increase your GPE by taking surveys and offers, or by earning points and redeeming them for GPE.

Note that the higher paid email rate you have selected in your profile the faster your GPE will expire.

Like it is written before already, the customer has to get paid as it offered. The idea that the scammer can let the customer working free of charge confirms the scam!

Why was I not credited for surveys and offers that I completed?
There are several possible reasons for not getting credited in your account. Note that Paid To Read Email® does not credit member accounts for completing surveys and offers. This process is handled by the advertiser companies who hosts and maintains all of the surveys and offers. The company who credits the surveys and offers has the final say in whether or not you are credited, and reserves the right to refuse a member credit for a survey or offer for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to, lack of appropriate information, improper sign-up, improper browser settings, and/or a history of manual credits. If you do not see the credit in your account, that means that Paid To Read Email® did not receive credit either, and we therefore cannot pay you.

Even here is the scammer Gerardas Norkus wrong. As the surveys from other companies are a part of his offer is he liable for the payment of his customers. It does not matter if he gets some money for the work of his customers for another company or not. He is even liable for the promises of the other sites!
